Why knowing your clients is important
An amazing moment can flied away into the air and no one would ever know unless you spent the time to catch it. The image you see here is a simple bread tie and a set of engagement/wedding rings.
I chose this example to explain how easy a moment could never have happened unless you took the time to learn about the ooey -gooey center of your amazing and wonderful clients.
Kristin and Kevin's engagement story started with this little piece of plastic and wire. Kristin had wore a bread-tie on her left ring finger as a running joke between the two for some time. One day, the bread-tie had gotten misshapen so Kristin asked Kevin to fix it. He took it from her and returned with something a little more sparkly- an actual engagement ring! He proposed with that ring and she happily accepted!
When planning their wedding, we spent the time to get to know the couple with a series of questions through our Bride and Groom Survey. We'd asked how the proposal had happened and this was their story. We ask these kinds of questions so that we can make their photography portfolio uniquely their own. This isn't just a pretty photograph of their rings, but a memory and story that they will always cherish and recall each time they see it.
